The Patients (1976-1980)

$0.00

The second publication in the Marijuana Rx Monographs series. These publications are short and concise spotlights on particular episodes in the early days of the medical marijuana movement. This information pre-dates the digital age and is often hard to find.

Monograph #2 has contemporaneous news articles from 1976-1980 detailing a few of the patients who came forward after hearing about Robert Randall’s successful legal access to marijuana to treat his glaucoma. In 1976 marijuana use was wide-spread but there was no talk of marijuana’s medical use. Randall’s case gave others the courage to speak out and publicly acknowledge their medical use of this illegal substance.

This monograph highlights some of the earliest medical cannabis pioneer patients. At a time when medical cannabis was virtually unknown, these individuals bravely stepped forward to tell the true story of medicinal cannabis. Includes Ara Cron, Walter Townsend, Craig Reichert, Lynn Pierson, and Mona Taft.
